Introduction into Veterinary Lasers

Diode lasers were commonly used in the field of therapeutic treatment for pain relief, wound healing or the like, while CO2 laser enjoyed the first choice for surgery. Unlike CO2 laser, the diode laser beam is transmitted through an optical fibre. This means that the laser beam can be delivered through rigid or flexible endoscopes. By processing the fibre tip has made it possible to perform surgeries commonly performed by a CO2 laser. We have also developed various metal probes to respond to the demands from veterinarians. From vigorous surgery to soft therapy, from abdominal surgery to claw removal or ophthalmology, Diode Laser is a sprinter in various fields, i.e. your clinic.

Product Description

The VELASTM Surgical Diode Laser System is the most stable system produced so far, with advanced and proven technique, high quality and good performance, many professionals appreciate the low price and the quality. Compared with the traditional treatment, it is called new “laser scalpel”, because of minimal invasive procedures, less pain and low bleeding.

With different kinds accessories, such as flexible fibre, handpieces with various shapes and lengths, micro-endoscope etc, the versatile system can extend and develop and has many clinical applications. It’s been used in dentistry, endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), ENT, PLDD, liposuction, Veterinary and so on. The laser systems have been approved with a CE mark and ISO13485.

The VELAS series from GIGAA LASER can be used for surgical and therapeutic applications.  Surgical applications require a technology that offers equally effective ablation and coagulation options. The VELAS series will offer you the wavelength options of 810nm, 940nm, 980nm and 1470nm, so that you could choose a laser which suits your need best.

Both 30W and 60W systems are available. Please select the system you desire.

The VELAS series include these models:

  • VELASII-15D (15W 1470nm)
  • VELASII-30A (30W 810nm)
  • VELASII-30B (30W 980nm)
  • VELASII-30AB (15W 810nm+15W 980nm)
  • VELASII-30F (30W 1064nm)
  • VELASII-30C (30W 940nm)
  • VELASII-60A (60W 810nm)
  • VELASII-60B (60W 980nm)
  • VELASII-60AB (30W 810nm+30W 980nm)
  • VELASII-60C (60W 940nm)

The number means the Max. power and the alphabet means the wavelengths

Eg, VELASII-30A, the Max. power is 30W, the wavelength is 810nm

In these models, only the VELASII-30AB (15W 810nm+15W 980nm) and VELASII-60AB (30W 810nm+30W 980nm) are the 2 wavelengths machine.

Take the VELASII-30AB as the example:

When you use this machine, you can use the 0.5-15W power with 810nm fixed wavelength, and you can also use the 0.5-15W with 980nm fixed wavelength, and you can also use the 0.5-30W 810nm&980nm wavelengths together.

Please note that all machines wavelengths are fixed, the wavelength are can not be adjusted. The 2 wavelengths machine means the user can use the 810nm&980nm in the same time, but does not mean the user can use the wavelengths from 810-980nm

VET Applications – Small Animal

In recent times, diode lasers have become the laser of choice due to their small size, increased versatility and easy maintenance. At the highest settings, the GIGAA Diode Lasers are easy to use as scalpels for everyday surgical procedures. The accuracy of the laser beam targets and vaporizes the pigmented cellular structures in soft tissue. At low wattage, the lasers can be used for therapeutic procedures to promote healing, pain control, inflammation and infection.

The benefits of laser scalpels include a greater precision, reduction of bleeding via instantaneous cauterisation of wounds, and faster healing for the patient.
