Product Description

The AGSS is designed to conform to ISO 8835-3 and is used for the extraction of waste and excess gases, from the patient breathing system into the central anaesthetic gas scavenging disposal system.

This is a device that safely collects and removes exhaled nitrous oxide and other
anaesthetic gases during the administration of anaesthesia or sedation. The device is
recommended by: AAGBI to avoid occupational exposure to the gases.

A practical solution for waste anaesthetic gas discharges and is designed as an integral part of a waste anaesthetic gas system

  • Conforms to ISO 8835-3
  • MRI Compatible
  • Can be wall, rail or machine mounted
  • Weighs 1 Kg, size 80mm x 390mm
  • Supplied with Disposal and Transfer Hoses
  • Both Disposal Hose and Patient Inlet port swivel about 360° to ensure hose positioning and prevent occlusion
  • Top mounted outlet hose connection
  • Air break prevents suction from the disposal system being transferred to the patient
  • Flow indicator provides a visual indication of normal operating conditions
  • Gauze filter built into the top of the vessel prevents gown fluff and other solid material from reaching and blocking the fixed extraction system
  • Quiet performance
  • Materials: Body—anodized aluminium, powder coated, collar and cap—anodized aluminium, indicator window— low-density polyethene
  • Flow Indicator: Float lifts at approx. 70 L/min. and is visible at approx. 80 L/min
