Veterinary Ultrasound In Practice

Dr Camilla Edwards DVM CertAVP MRCVS provides peripatetic ultrasound service to first opinion veterinary practices.

She has experience in leading the delivery of day long, in person, ultrasound lectures and practical teaching to groups of veterinary surgeons as well as online courses and webinars.

Teaching is one of her passions and with daily practical experience in first opinion practice, she understands what skills practitioners require and want to learn.

She has experience working with many different ultrasound machines and companies through her reviews and affiliate links, which makes her the ideal person to deliver teaching on specific ultrasound machines and how to use them in first opinion practice.

Camilla aims to deliver friendly, informative, relevant courses which help veterinary surgeons to utilize their ultrasound machines to both the vet’s and the machine’s maximum potential.

The Course

The Course can be delivered in the comfort of your own practice, with your own ultrasound machine.

  • Learn what you need to know to get the best image on your specific machine.
  • Camilla can teach everything from the basics of getting a decent image and performing a basic abdominal scan to finding the elusive pancreas and adrenal glands.
  • Camilla will bring her dog Pippi on the day who is quickly learning to be a super ultrasound dog. – If other dogs are available this can be an invaluable experience seeing the difference between animals.
  • The course will be a combination of discussions and practical sessions, to fit around the working day.
  • Often the course will run between 10am and 4pm. This allows for consults before and after in the busy practice with a discussion over lunch.
